Category-2 (Quota-16)
PB-I (Scale: 25200-220,200) + GP 21900 or 22000 (Corresponding to Level-2 OR Level-3 of Pay Matrix as per 7th Pay Commission] (Waterpolo (Men),Archery (Men/Women),Athletics (Women),Basketball (Men & Women),Boxing (Men),Cricket (Men & Women),Chess (Men),Cue Sports (Billiards),Hockey (Men),Kabaddi (Women),Shooting (Men & Women),Volleyball (Men & Women)).
Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be 18 - 25 years as on 01.01.2018.
Eligibility will be considered based on the sports performance in the championships held on 01.04.2015 or afterwards only and the sports person shall currently be an active player. For this purpose, concluding day of the championships/event will be taken into account. Performance in earlier championships, i.e. prior to 01.04.2015 will not be taken into consideration.
Selection Process: Selection will be made on the basis of merit in trials etc. subject to documents verification.

About Indian railway
Ministry of Railway's (Railway Board) vide their letter No. E(NG)-II/96/RR-1/62 dated 18-07-05 delegated powers for Recruitment to Group 'D' post to General Managers. In pursuance to this Railway Recruitment Cell was opened in Eastern Railway. RRC-ER caters to requirement of Group-D manpower in Head Office of Eastern Railway, its Divisions - Howrah, Sealdah, Asansol and Malda, and Workshops - Liluah, Kanchrapara, Jamalpur. It is also supposed to meet Group-D requirement of Production Unit - Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, Chittaranjan.
